I was just informed that my painting Gumballs and Peppermint is a top finalist in Plein Air magazine's October contest. The final awards will be announce next week.
I have entered their contest 5 times this year and been honored with awards each time. As I said, truly blessed.

Remember when Disney used to make good movies? In Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket tried to lead Pinocchio down the right path by telling him to "give a little whistle and let your conscience be your guide."
This tin wide up Jiminy and the plastic Pinocchio are from my collection of vintage toys. As I'm downsizing these days my vintage toys will be the last thing to go!

I just felt like doing another painting with my cowboy friend Howdy Doody.
This unlucky fellow has a broken rope, A horse shoe with the luck flowing out and a few bullet holes in his sheet music. But he just keeps on smiling. There's a lesson there somewhere.
