This oil painting is all about Vintage Kitchen. And red handles.

Red handled Kitchen Ware was especially popular in the 1930s & 1940s

The red striped cookbook from the 1940s sits on top of a wooden recipe box. It shares that spot with wit a metal lion cookie cutter that has a red handle.

To the right is a rubber spatula also with a red handle  and an egg beater, Does anyone else still own one of these?

Also included in this ensemble is a crocheted hot pad and a metal biscuit cutter.Yes, with a red handle.

 I just got a copy of the January/February issue of the Artist Magazine.

They have images of the winners of their 42nd Annual Art Competition.

What and honor to have my work shown among these great pieces of

art work! My painting "The Making of a Cowboy" was awarded Honorable

mention in the Still life Category.

Top Finalist Plein Air Magazine

I have been truly blessed this year through my art work.

I was just informed that my painting Gumballs and Peppermint is a top finalist in Plein Air magazine's October contest. The final awards will be announce next week.

I have entered their contest 5 times this year and been honored with awards each time. As I said, truly blessed.
