False Pride by K Henderson
I ran across this image of a painting I did a while back. I created the painting for a show with a companion piece called Humility. I'll be posting that piece soon.
I love the idea of the rooster wearing peacock feathers. That says it all.
This painting has sold but prints may be available soon.

Rejoice by K. Henderson
Rejoice, 8 x 10 on cradled board
UPDATE: "Rejoice", was selected as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the June 2025 BoldBrush Painting competition.
Again I say Rejoice! I thought this would be a quick painting but there were other plans for me. I'm happy with the results. This is the first in my new series of small oil paintings using Alphabet blocks. I call this new series "Exhortations"

| Felix Paints En Plein Air, 18 x 24, oil on cradled board |
This vintage box of colored pencils makes me smile. It shows Felix the Wonderful Cat feverishly painting En Plein Air.
In this painting the box of pencils is surrounded by coloring book images that any cat would love : a cat friend, a mouse and and fish
