Peanuts and Gumballs

Peanuts and Gumballs, 18" x 24" oil on canvas.

This is one of my most brightly colored and most ambitious paintings. I love the bright pink gumballs and the texture in the peanut shells.

Baked Goods

Baked Goods,24 x 30, oil on linen

I love this vintage Bakery box. I who doesn't love pastries?

It was hard to decide which kind of pastry to include since all pastry is wonderful. I decided on Berliners (bismarcks, jelly donuts, Pączki, what do you call them?) I also included a favorite knife and linen napkin.

Dark Kiss

Dark Kiss, 20 x 20, Oil on linen

I've painting chocolate kisses several times. I'm not sure why because the colorful foil is one of the most challenging things I've ever painted. But I'm pleased with the way this turned out.

Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake, 36 x 36, oil on linen

This is one of my Annual Strawberry Painting.

I must say that the strawberries were the easiest part of the painting to complete. The whipped cream with all its ebb and flow and the biscuit with  its nooks and crannies were time consuming to get Just Right.

Grape and Strawberry

Grape and Strawberry, 16 x 20, oil on cradled board

I love peanut butter sandwiches. I eat them plain or with any kind of jam of jelly!

Midnight Snack

Midnight Snack,30 x 40, oil on linen

I could probably eat this combination of food 3 times a day, everyday.

Did you know that "Oreo" was first trademarked in 1912? And the rest is history!

Pink Kiss

Pink Kiss, 20 x 20, oil on canvas

Here's another Chocolate Kiss painting. This one was a bit of a challenge because I wanted the reflection to be less vibrant than the main subject and I struggled to get the color 'Just Right'

Apricot Jam

Apricot Jam, 8 x 10, oil on board

This small Painting was awarded Best of Show at the International Biscuit Festival in Knoxville, TN

I loved painting the texture of the biscuit against the shiny smooth jam.
